Life Skills Lessons

Life Skills is a study of Spiritual and practical truths, concepts, and principles designed to help you make some changes in your attitude and lifestyle.  Change is always difficult and takes discipline and persistence.

What changes would you like to make in your life?

Big changes are overwhelming and very rarely happen apart from the miraculous change God makes in you when you receive Christ as Savior.  (If you haven't experienced this change and you want to visit The Truth.  If you have questions you can email me.

What is effective is small changes on a consistent basis.  If you were to take a sheet of notebook paper and draw a straight line from top to bottom, then move the top of the ruler 1/64 or an inch angle to the right and then draw another line from the bottom to the top you would see a very small space at the top resulting from the change.  If this sheet of paper were to represent one year of your life, and if you were to extend these two lines over as many pages as you have years to age 70, you would see a significant difference.  Small changes make a large difference over time.

You are where you are because of decisions you made and actions you took yesterday.  What decisions and actions are you going to take today to make tomorrow different.  Insanity is doing the same things over and over while expecting different results.  Today is the future you were worried about yesterday.  Tomorrow is the future you are worrying about today.  Today will be tomorrows past tomorrow and it will be gone forever.  Nothing you do today can be changed.

What small changes are you willing to begin making right now?

Proverbs 16:9 says, "A man's mind plans his way, but God directs his steps."  Proverbs 19:21 says, "In a man's heart are many ideas, but God's purpose will prevail."
