- Friendship – A personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Earning the way – Good works (not possible)
This is a presentation of the invitation of God The Father to become a child in His kingdom. It is really a very simple step to accept His invitation. The following four scripture verses from the Bible are the basis for this story.
- For God so loved the world (every person) He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) that whoever trusts in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (have real life forever). John 3:16 from the New Testament.
- (Jesus Christ) am The Way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me. John 14:6 from the New Testament.
- That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9 and 10 from the New Testament.
- For by grace (unmerited favor, free gift) are you saved (salvaged), through faith (trust), and not of yourself. It is a gift of God, not of works, lest you be able to boast (brag about what you have done to earn salvation). Ephesians 2:8 and 9 from the New Testament.
