Satan will do everything he possibly can to destroy your ability to reason. If you are reading this, he may not been successful with you yet, but he will never stop trying.
Picture Satan as a fisherman. He is sitting in a boat and casting a line into the waters of the world. He patiently works the lure and is waiting for you to come drifting along.

The dictionary defines a lure as ”An inducement to pleasure or gain – enticement, appeal, attraction".

He watches you intently as he jiggles the lure in your face. He waits for you to take the bait and then he sets the hook. He leans back and smiles. ”Got ya“ he snarls.
Not a very pretty picture is it?
The question is, what lure or lures has he used to catch you? You know what they are because you have swallowed them and you can't seem get free.
Satan is a very cruel fisherman because he doesn't ”catch and release“. He doesn't pull you in and take the hook out of your mouth, eye or wherever he has snagged you. He wants to keep you on the line forever pulling to get yourself free until you are exhausted and you quit fighting it altogether.
