The Truth

God's love for you is unconditional. Nothing you have ever done and nothing you ever will do will stop Him from loving you. Please do not take it personally when someone tells you that you cannot go to Heaven unless you receive Jesus as your Savior. This is not a rejection of you. The problem is not you - it is your sins. You cannot enter God's presence with them.

This is why God sent His son Jesus to die on Calvary. Because Jesus did not have a human father He did not have a sin nature. Because He did not have a sin nature He was without sin - He was perfect. Because He was perfect He could take the punishment for all of your sins for you. He did this by shedding His blood and dying on a cross.

His shed blood is what paid the price for your sins. This is why it is important that you accept Him as God's son and receive His gift of salvation. Salvation means deliverance. Once you receive Him as the Son of God you are immediately delivered from all your sins - past sins, present sins, future sins.

I know it is mind boggling. It seems so simple. That's the love of God. Your salvation is not based on your performance.

Here is an illustration to help you understand. Let’s say you are a big NASCAR fan and you went to the Indianapolis 500 while Dale Earnhardt, Sr. was still alive. You wanted to get in so bad you couldn’t stand it, but you did not have a ticket and you did not have the money to purchase one. No matter how hard you tried to get through the gate you couldn’t get past security. You are not being rejected. The problem is you don't have a ticket and you can’t afford one. Unknown to you, someone went to Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and told him about you. So he sent his son, Dale, Jr., to the front gate with instructions to pay your way in. Dale, Jr., comes to you and offers you a ticket as a gift from his father. You hesitate, stunned, and Dale, Jr. says, with a smile, you can only get in by accepting his gift from me.

In John 14:6 Jesus said, "I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life, no man comes to the Father but by me".

Romans 10:9 says, "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" - delivered.

Being saved will not immediately change your circumstances or geographical location. It will immediately change the destination of your soul (mind and emotions). Your addiction (problems) will not immediately go away, but now you immediately have the promise of His Word. Ephesians 3:20 gives you this tremendous hope - "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us".

Think on this:

Without Jesus, no matter how great things get here on earth, this will be the only Heaven you will experience.

With Jesus, no matter how bad things get here on earth, this will be the only hell you will experience.

In Jesus we see the fullness of God's tremendous love and kindness revealed.

1. Jesus has fully met all the requirements of divine law by living a perfect life on earth.

2. Because of His sinless life as a man, He was qualified to pay the cost for our rebellious ways - sin.

3. Jesus sacrificed His life on the cross to pay for all our sins--past, present, and future.

4. When we receive Jesus as our Savior, God counts Jesus' death as payment for all we have done wrong.

5. Upon our salvation, Jesus’ perfect life is counted as our own; our faith is credited to us as Jesus’ perfection (righteousness). (Romans 4:5)
